Baby Photos

With all the craziness of work and deployments, we haven't had the opportunity to upload as many pictures as we would have liked recently. Our little girl is 2 pounds and about 14 inches as of today :) She's growing fast! Before we know it, she'll be joining our family. I have posted a few pictures of the ultrasound at 22 weeks and some of the more recent pregnancy pictures. We also were able to celebrate Kylie's upcoming arrival with all of our family and friends at a beautiful baby shower Amy threw for us. It was truly an amazing day.

The Baby Shopping has Begun!

Well, it didn't take long for us to get excited about our new little girl and begin buying for her. The day after the ultrasound, Dylan and I headed to Babys-R-Us and picked out our room decor and all of her furniture. We have moved the bedrooms around and now we're just waiting for it all to arrive! We're going with the jungle theme and white furniture.
   We have also been blessed with so many wonderful people in our lives helping us get ready for her. We now have some beautiful baby outfits and some great decorations for her room. Here are a few pictures of everything.

We have a baby GIRL!

We were able to have an ultrasound today and see our little girl moving around! She did a lot of sleeping, but in between naps, we saw some great activity! She is definitely a thumb sucker and she even yawned and smiled for the camera :) It seems that her preferred sleeping position is with her hands over her face and at one point she even flipped over and was sleeping face down. She kicked her legs for us and looked right at the camera. It was a truly amazing day for the Lisefski Family. Now that we know a little girl is on the way, we couldn't leave the Ultrasound Office without buying her a new headband and hat. I have a feeling she is going to be spoiled rotten. If you watch the video, it gets a little choppy at a few points, but it still gave us a good glimpse into her little world. She is still very much developing, so she has the bone structure but not too much fat yet. That will come soon :)

Week 13

Here are some pictures from the beginning of the second trimester. I can definitely notice a bit of a difference :) And it's only going to keep growing from here. In 2 short weeks we'll know if we have a precious baby boy or girl on the way.

PS. The 13 week sign is totally backwards, but this my attempt at the weekly picture while Dylan is gone :)

       

Baby's First Heartbeat

We were able to hear Baby Lisefski's heartbeat today and it was an amazing experience. It was beating at a very healthy 169 bpm. It's really working hard in there! Since Dylan is deployed, fabulous Amy came with me to the appointment and videotaped the whole thing. And I'm throwing out a disclaimer: they had to check the heartbeat pretty low on my belly.
   We're officially at 3 months as of yesterday! Now that the first trimester is over, the morning sickness has decreased and while I'm still fatigued, a nap everyday isn't a necessity anymore. Thank goodness! I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to survive going to back to work so tired. It's amazing to think that we only have 6 more months. This little lovey of ours will be here before we know it. During this next trimester, the baby will be growing rapidly and we're thrilled to experience it moving and to find out if we're going to be buying blue or pink!

Baby's First Ultrasound

We were able to get a sneak preview of our little one today! It's healthy and growing perfectly - so we couldn't ask for more. It was truly an amazing moment to see the baby move it's arms and legs, it seems to be getting quite a workout in there. We are so excited to continue to watch the baby grow and we can't wait for the moment when it joins our family.

The Dwyer's know the Big News!!

Last night, Dylan and I surprised mom and dad by showing up for Father's Day dinner. They had been expecting me (by myself) a day later and were quite shocked to see the both of us walking through the door - especially when they read our shirts :) We had worried for days that they might know the big news already, but it seems they had no idea! It was a wonderful moment to FINALLY be able to celebrate with them. We couldn't have asked for better reaction.

We were FINALLY able to share our wonderful news with Dylan's parents. It couldn't have gone any better! We feel so fortunate to have such amazing family to share the excitement with. We went to Nashville that day and they bought the baby their first learning toys. Only a few more days and both sets of parents will know the big news and the secret will finally be out. Thank goodness! Here is a video of us telling Mike and Vicki.

The Big Surprise!

The t-shirts we made to surprise our parents! Dylan's says 'She's Preggo' and mine says 'We're Pregnant!'  We'll reveal to Dylan's parents on June 11th when they arrive in TN. Then, we'll drive to FL and surprise my parents on June 19th! It can't come soon enough - we're so excited to share our news with the grandparents.

We found out this morning that we have a little one in the making. I am currently almost 5 weeks pregnant and Dylan and I couldn't be more excited! We spent the day celebrating by walking the isles of Baby-R-Us! We look forward to this new and exciting journey we are about to begin.
